Well here it is after 1 year and 2 months since I the idea first popped into my head and with alot of investigation and thought I settled on this 3/4 acre parcel. I wanted to be out and away from the city but still in a small little neighborhood while still in the town school district so here it is! |
Ground Breaking Day!! Under nice Fujichrome skies! After much negotiations with contractors, land owners and banks. Digging day had come! In no time at all Community Craftsman Contractors had an Cat 953LGP track loader put to work and with-in a day the foundation was dug! It was clear to me at this point that CCC is going to work quick. This oufit builds 20+ houses a year and have a spotless reputation; I knew that a good contractor would be an essential element to a successful project. |
Harold Wilson of Community Craftsman Contractors looks on while the operator digs and digs. The operator stops for a minunte and complains "Can you put any more corners in this dam house!" Yes, We can add a few if you want!! Hey Buddy you parked that Cat on my train layout! |
Footer Day! Pouring the footer went quick and as you can see by the sky the weather is changing this day would mark one of the last dry day's this fall. |
Wow! In three day's of laying block the basement is finished and ready for them to bring in the trailer!. I ordered a nice dubble wide with extra wings for the next tornado! |
Ok, Floor... A floor would be good! Also notice all of the wood stacked in the front yard waiting for the framers to get under way. |
I wanted to get them putting the first walls up, but.... some how I was too late; hey these guy's move too fast! I'd better start carrying my camera in the car. |
